Another Choice

Today the human being has the project to reinvent itself with the help of scientific and technological discoveries and of a new comprehension of the behavior of matter’ building blocks. The stated intent is to improve and ameliorate and perfect the quality of life “for all”, by delegating most of the tasks and functions to artificial data-fed instruments, by eliminating or replacing those organs or those cellular activities that are defective or insufficient and by providing everyone with such means of communication, expression and mobilization as will enrich one’s experience and satisfy one’s needs.

The individual will thus become more and more dependent on external tools and means – exterior to one’s own direct contact with consciousness, existence and joy.

But in actual fact – in the real intent – what is aimed at is to obtain a more and more perfected instrumentation of matter and its “resources” at the service of the desires and ambitions of whoever will have the power and the knowledge to make use of it all.

And in effect the possibilities are practically infinite.

It is yet certain - and demonstrable – that none of these “creations” will bring the joy of being to anyone, that none will be able to unite us consciously with a permanent Becoming.

Here we live, at the mercy of all disorders and contradictions, ignorant of the deeper laws of Consciousness, of Energy, of Matter, of these laws which could manifest the harmony and unity of all that is at every moment.

And if, here itself, we could have access to a physical permanence, conscious of the world, always full and always progressive – and unite with it for good?

If we could anchor ourselves in it for the time necessary, the necessary journey, the progress necessary to our deeper being?
