Another Choice

All oppression disfigures and denatures that which is oppressed as well: freedom is a long apprenticeship.

It is then most necessary to grasp where lies the person’s integrity, which is in no way determined by the role which this present life has assigned and forced one to act out.

It is then for each living torch in becoming to consciously incline, through a movement of original plenitude, towards a more pronounced expression of one approach or the other.

The entire archetypal pageant of our roles is in our human lives a symbolic representation of what we are in our veritable natures – free of death and its masks.

The mother’s arms that soothe and comfort, the hand of the friend and companion who will share everything, the embrace of the sister who understands and knows, the father’s hug that blesses and fortifies – thus does the universe express itself for each one, through each one of us.

Identified with the ego, riveted and pinned to the partitioned plot of the kind and the role, our movements and our actions are determined, motivated and intentional.

In the presence of this other nature – inward, eluding all control, defying all rules and transcending the instruments – every single movement of existence is a declension of the act of love.
